POSITION SUMMARY
The Office of Equal Protection (OEP) is an enforcement and compliance office that seeks accountability in workers' rights, civil rights, and public safety. The ADA & Disability Resources Coordinator works as part of the OEP team to advance its mission, including by: managing disability accommodations requests, grievances, and other queries submitted by members of the public; serving as liaison between City departments and the community; analyzing relevant data and maintaining related records; serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), disability inclusion, and relevant City policies; coordinating implementation of the City's compliance with ADA Title II (prohibiting discrimination against people with disabilities in public services and programs).

Qualifying Requirements:
Your work experience and education/training will be evaluated to determine if you meet the qualifying eligibility requirements listed below for this position. You will receive notice of your eligibility status.
WORK EXPERIENCE: The application must show two (2) years of full-time experience in compliance, enforcement, social work/services, policy, or a related field. Work with the disability community, especially Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, is strongly preferred. Applications that show past experience with issues affecting the disability community are preferred. ADA Coordinator Training is an asset but is not required. (Less than full-time experience will be calculated on a pro-rated basis).

EQUIVALENCY: Education/training and/or work experience in compliance may be substituted on a year for year basis if the application clearly shows the required number of years to meet the Total Qualifying Requirement for this position (based on the sum of work experience and education/training listed above). The Total Qualifying Requirement is two (2) years. (See NOTE under the General Application Requirements Section above regarding the verification of education/training).

POSITION DUTIES
The duties listed below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Supports OEP's ADA compliance and code enforcement work.
Acts as a liaison between City Departments and the community to facilitate compliance with the ADA.
Gets/stays informed regarding current state of the art concerning tools, auxiliary aids, and services, assistive technology, and accommodations, to ensure access for people with a variety of needs.
Compiles, prepares, and maintains data and records.
Prepares accurate reports, correspondence, calendars, etc.
Performs such other related tasks and duties that are assigned or required.
