Role Overview

The Sourcing Manufacturing Engineer & Initiatives Leader will own and drive complex delivery, cost, capacity, and design issues with suppliers. The role will partner with Business Sourcing Leadership to develop Growth Playbook strategies, identify opportunities to create competition by expanding global footprint, and augment Commodity teams where needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

Act as the Manufacturing Engineering focal for assigned supplier base and own the technical performance of those suppliers.

Assess Lean and capacity capabilities at assigned suppliers and engage Systems FLIGHT DECK (Lean) teams to drive Cost projects.

Provide manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes, including electronics manufacturing and machining.

Proactively identify delivery barriers and resolve with Fulfilment, Commercial, and Quality teams.

Manage projects for suppliers and collaborate with internal and external teams to implement solutions.

Drive cost reduction efforts within assigned supply base and proactively engage in addressing cost issues.

Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems.

Assess the quality of information and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, including explaining information outside of immediate team and developing skills to support consensus around topics within the function.

Travel approximately 60%

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain)

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain

Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with Suppliers

Desired Characteristics

15+ years of experience in Electronics Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Supply Chain

10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Shop Operations, and Production Control

10+ years of experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive

Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

The base pay range for this position is $116,000.00 - $154,000.00 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close by May 7, 2026.
