Summary You will serve as a computer scientist in the Cybersecure HM&E Controls Systems & Networks division of NSWC PHILA DIV. Responsibilities You will perform work requiring application of advanced Engineering and IT Cybersecurity Systems science/engineering theories and techniques and the modification and extension of practices. You will plan, organize and coordinate the various phases of the project/work assignment to be accomplished. You will carry full responsibilities for the engineering cybersecurity assignments/project/programs. You will develop solutions to a variety of nonrecurring engineering and IT problems and anticipate future trends and investigate application of new technology or approaches. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional scientist maintaining a cybersecurity program for an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
