Summary The Area Business Office Manager is assigned to the Clarksville Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and reports directly to the Deputy Chief of the TVHS Business Office, with functional advisement from the Group Practice Manager and Area Clinic Administrator (Clinic Manager). Clarksville CBOC functions as a hub for the TVHS Northwestern and Southern Kentucky Area which currently includes several CBOC facilities including the main Clarksville facility. Responsibilities The Area Business Office Manager is responsible for all Business Office functions in the TVHS Northwestern and Southern Kentucky Area and as a consultant for Business Office activities for other key staff. Those responsibilities include managing, directing, supervising, administering training, and ensuring compliance regarding a variety of business office programs and 45 personnel at the Clarksville CBOC Hopkinsville CBOC, Ft. Campbell and Dover CBOC. Travel to the Bowling Green CBOC, Hopkinsville, Dover, Clarksville Dental Clinic, and Ft. Campbell is required. Major Duties include: Knowledge of planning and coordination of Business Operations. Analyzes and retrieves data used in planning and personnel management. Writes administrative policies and procedures to ensure compliance with administrative guidelines. Plans and monitors work assignments and evaluates work performance of staff. Organizes and maintains staffing plans to include, contingency staffing plans. Creates and maintains an Area Business Office Staff Orientation and training program. Conducts, Audits and reviews for scheduling practices. Collaborates with key leaders in regards to space design, furniture needs and IT to ensure optimal healthcare operation infrastructure. Conducts performance improvement projects. Ability to communicate effectively in interpersonal communication with management, staff and patients. Mentors staff and collaborates with other staff to solve problems. Knowledge of the functions and capabilities, of the service, to ensure prompt scheduling of appointments. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond the first year may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-09 level.
