Mechanical Applications Engineer
The Mechanical Applications Engineer develops and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and documentation, while supporting sustaining product lines and cross-functional engineering initiatives to provide support to sales and improve safety, quality, performance, and cost efficiency. The Application Engineer's role involves interaction with multiple departments, which requires strong communication skills.

Salary Range: $85,000-110,000 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge
Concept designs of mechanical systems and equipment by conducting analyses, experiments, predictive analytical examinations, and reconciliations between expected and actual results. 3-D CAD modeling and Sales drawing creation. Provide pricing and lead times to Sales. (40%).
Prepare documentation, test reports, and engineering drawings to ensure visibility, traceability, and alignment across engineering and manufacturing environments. Structuring BOMs and production routings in ERP system (30%).
Assist in building, debugging, and testing new/modified equipment while defining safety standards and operational procedures to ensure reliable production performance (15%).
Provide technical support for failure investigations, bid responses, and cross-functional engineering activities contributing practical and innovative solutions to technical challenges (15%).
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
6+ years of experience in mechanical design, equipment development, and engineering analysis.
Experience in performing cost and manufacturing time analysis for product modifications.
Experience designing and testing mechanical systems, machinery, packaging, and production equipment.
Proficiency with CAD tools (Inventor/AutoCAD), FEA (NASTRAN), and analytical mechanical analysis methods.
Ability to interpret engineering data, analyze discrepancies, and develop practical design improvements.
Strong documentation, reporting, and record keeping skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering, sales, and production teams.
Commitment to continuous improvement, problem solving, and supporting engineering initiatives.
