On-Call Access Control Point / Watch Stander to support multiple efforts in Columbia, MD. Qualified individuals will be responsible for providing access security within the secured facility. This position will require the ability to watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergency situations. These candidates will also be responsible for verifying all visitors entering the suite, maintaining information in the visitor's database, and performing escort duties when required.

Responsibilities

MUST be able to to act as a fill-in on weekdays as needed.The shifts are morning (6:30 am to 2:30 pm; swing is 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm; and night is 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.Must have the flexibility to work all three during the week.

Occupy a 24-hour visitor's desk and provide support on weekends and/or holidays as needed in addition to the weekday coverage.

Monitor CCTV system, watch for irregularities and report suspicious activity or emergencies to the Program Security Manager (PSM), Special Security Representative (SSR) and/or the Site Lead.

Investigate alarms and assist the PSM/SSR and/or Site Lead on resolving alarm system malfunctions.

Sound the alarm in cases of emergencies and notify the necessary personnel and/or authorities.

Perform all visitor access procedures including, developing daily access lists, greeting visitors, validating visitor identity, issuing visitor badges, and coordinating visitor activity.

Complete and maintain all visitor logs and databases.

Responsible for the inventory of badges at shift turnover, and provide discrepancy reports.

Coordinate with Registry to ensure personnel are registered in the respective Digital Monitoring Product (DMP) alarm system to enter assigned office zone within the office suite especially outside of normal working hours.

Perform all visitor access procedures including greeting visitors, validating visitor identity, issuing visitor color coded badges, and coordinating visitor activity, ensuring visitors are escorted by authorized personnel, especially when moving to sensitive or restricted areas.

Able to push/pull up to 50lbs.

Conduct random and periodic patrols within office zones to provide a visible security presence, and perform Escort Duties when required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of three years of access control point or facility security experience

Active TS/SCI Clearance

Skills

Must possess basic information technology skills. Be able to perform fundamental user operations and common tasks.

Master of time management skills.

Must display excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills.

The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $23 - $25/ Hour.
