Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Resident Care Aide, you will be a vital member of the resident care team, performing care duties in accordance with the mission and philosophy of our organization and its established policies and procedures.

Every day, you will be accountable for the day-to-day care duties in Resident Care, directly contributing to the well-being and comfort of our residents. You may also be called upon to assist in other resident care or departmental duties as indicated in the unit-specific structure standards, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach. Your work ensures that our residents receive compassionate and attentive support in their daily lives.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a compassionate and caring demeanor, ideally with prior experience in direct resident care within a senior living or long-term care setting. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building positive relationships with residents and their families.

Receives report from previous shift and organizes shift assignments.

Assists residents with: toileting and dressing activities (skin care, bathroom help, weights, etc.), bed making and tidying of unit; eating, unit trays, nourishments. Provides assistance to residents who regularly or intermittently need to use the toilet at night.Cares for, cleans, replaces resident laundry and facility supplies, equipment, appliances, etc.

Monitors residents remaining in units for temporary illnesses such as a cold, flu, etc. Sees that these residents have trays delivered to them for each meal. Observes, reports, documents any changes noted with resident to Resident Services Manager and /or Director or LVN on duty. Answers emergency call signals. Charts in individual Resident Care Chart when appropriate. Completes incident report when applicable. Informs manager of any charges for any medical supplies given to residents.

Assists community agencies such as Hospice/Home Care in providing care to residents.

Assists relatives, visitors and guests and directs requests or concerns to appropriate person.

Maintain a positive working relationship with other departments. Interact in a supportive, collaborative manner with all MMT team members.

Pay Range

$24.00 - $24.00 /hour
