Location: On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Your Day to Day as a Uranium Recovery Mechanic Specialist:
Install, diagnose, test and repair equipment, instruments, and test apparatus.
Formulate and execute plans for maintenance projects.
Provide mechanical / minor electrical support in the form of piping (PVC, CPVC, and Stainless), plumbing, pump and equipment repair.
Complete minor HVAC electrical and mechanical repairs.
Interface with SAP through generation of work orders, entering repair information and closing work orders.
Perform preventative maintenance and replacement of equipment in the UPRR processing areas.
Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatics, computer controlled systems and production equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Must have three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience or two (2) year associate's degree in industrial maintenance with one (1) year of relevant industrial/commercial maintenance experience.
Must be willing to enter the BWXT NOG-L apprenticeship program.
Must be willing to enter and complete basic welding classes.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC experience is desired.

Pay: $46.07
The starting hourly rate for this position in Virginia (US-VA) is expected to be $46.07 per hour. The hourly rate offered is based on local job market factors and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
