Summary This vacancy is for a WG - 2606-8/10,Electronic Industrial Controls Worker located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF NAVAL ENGINEERING in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities You will serve as a Electronic Industrial Controls Worker and be responsible to work on a wide variety of marine craft.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Servicing on teams to install and put into operation major electronic and electric control systems that are new to the fleet or that are major modifications of existing systems. Assists in troubleshooting and repairing new systems during the operational test and following procedures to cope with and identify unforeseen defects, as well submitting changes to existing schematics to reflect any corrections or changes. Most assignments are made on Coast Guard Vessels: advanced Programmable Logic Controllers installing and upgrading (including PLC software), you will assist in install/test/calibrate\align propulsion systems (diesel, diesel electric, DC, turbo, and turbine) May be tasked and detailed to support Ordnance shop work: assignments on both fire control and ordnance side, travel to Coast Guard vessel locations to perform work, can be assigned travel for Foreign Military Support Work. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
