This position supports both The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) and Forensic Services on the St. Peter campus. MSOP is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.
Forensic Services is comprised of the Forensic Mental Health Program (FMHP), the Forensic Nursing Home, and Community Integrated Services. FMHP provides residential treatment services for adults in both secure and non-secure settings. We serve patients who have been civilly committed by a court as mentally ill and dangerous. Patients often have been charged with crimes and civilly committed after a criminal court found them not competent to stand trial or not guilty by reason of mental illness or cognitive impairment
The St. Peter Distribution Center (SPDC) is seeking an individual for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Logistics Coordinator. This position plays an important role in materials management relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E). This position is also responsible for coordinating SPDC projects and resources, budget analysis and management, asset management, and reporting.
Primary responsibilities include:
Materials management including planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of FF&E for the programs on campus
Oversee, develop, and track department projects, prepare project budget recommendations, coordinate all MM programs on campus and other State agencies, and provide technical assistance and training.
Attend meetings on behalf of SPDC leadership as directed to ensure all projects are logistically coordinated, reviewed, approved, and completed.
Track and analysis of department budgets, including tracking data for various requests, creating purchase orders, monitoring expenditures, and reconciling budget reports
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
One (1) year experience working within a distribution center, warehouse or inventory management environment with responsibility for the distribution of materials/supplies.
This experience must include the following:
Sourcing, evaluating, and maintaining relationships with multiple vendors
Monitoring compliance with inventory delivery schedules and specifications.
Coordinating materials management between multiple buildings/locations.
Maintaining inventory levels for products ordered and stored and providing inventory tracking .
Daily computer software utilization, specifically in Microsoft Office which needs to include basic usage of Excel.
Demonstrated organizational skills for planning, prioritizing and communication of projects and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business/Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or related field.
Knowledge and/or experience with State funds management systems, including SWIFT.
Extensive experience with database management systems.
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel for the purpose of collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
Budget management, budget forecasting, or budget projections experience.
Physical Requirements
Physical ability requirements include: the ability to bend, stand, sit or kneel for frequent but short periods of time, including manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
