Summary This position serves as a property manager in the Material Management Division of the Logistics Service in a Veteran Affairs Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area, with responsibility for the inventory and lifecycle management of all non-expendable (NX) equipment in the assigned area(s). Responsibilities Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Ensures equipment accountability and appropriately managed, assigned and monitored. Analyzes data impacting procurement decisions. Researches and conducts analysis of potential cost savings, efficiencies and process improvements using quantitative analysis and historical usage patterns. Initiates and reviews reports for lost, damaged, or stolen property. Maintains inventory management and control of non-expendable assets. Recommends actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services to inventory customers or in implementing policies. Ensures accuracy of all personal property records and property documents. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 05/04/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
