The Staff Assistant provides administrative support to various units within Undergraduate Studies in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, including the Academic Advising Center, Office of First-Year Programs, and Student Records. This position will assist unit leadership in ensuring that administrative processes and actions related to students, parents, staff, faculty, and units across the University are done with efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): serving as a first point of contact for students, visitors, staff, faculty, and other University offices that seek out services from the associated units, entering student information into various University systems (PeopleSoft, Pathways, and Perceptive Content), initiating student contact for enrollment and registration processes, following up on questions or concerns with students, faculty, staff, and others who work with Undergraduate Studies. Additionally, work related to evaluation of transfer credit, student reinstatements, and graduation certification may be performed.

This position requires patience, flexibility, energy, and a sincere desire to assist students.

Excellent organization, communication skills, timeliness, cooperation, collaboration, and

accuracy are essential.

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
