Position: Administrative Assistant - Advising Office

Job Type: Contract

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM

Work Location: On-site

Job Summary:

An advising office is seeking a reliable Administrative Assistant to provide front desk and administrative support on a temporary basis. This role will serve as a key point of contact for students and visitors, supporting daily office operations and appointment scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally

Greet and assist students with walk-in inquiries

Schedule advising appointments accurately and efficiently

Provide general administrative and clerical support to the advising team

Maintain an organized and welcoming front-office environment

Assignment Details:

Contract role expected to last a few months

Duration may vary based on departmental needs

Qualifications:

Previous administrative or front desk experience preferred

Strong customer service and communication skills

Comfortable working with a high volume of students and walk-in traffic

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office setting

Basic computer and scheduling system experience

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors.

Proven ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-paced office setting.

Experience using computers for scheduling, data entry, and general administrative tasks.

Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in handling appointments and office records.
