JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the month-end close process and overseeing the preparation and review of monthly financial reports and assistance with updating forecasts.
This position requires onsite attendance 5 days per week at our Division Office located in Fairfax, Virginia.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the preparation of monthly financial reports, cash flow projection updates and forecasts
Verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications in compliance with GAAP and Company policies
Coordinates accounting matters with other departments within the division
Prepares operating budgets for multiple functional departments and assists them with budgeting and coding of expenditures
Coordinates work efforts with National Shared Services
Prepares and reviews supporting documentation for transactions and general ledger balances in compliance with Company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Delegates work according to employee's abilities and skills
Provides input to employee's performance evaluations
Assists in the identification of internal and external training opportunities
Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent in related field)
Certified Public Accounting license (active or inactive) preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Related Functional Experience : Minimum 5 years accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting theory and practice
Strong knowledge of financial reporting
Good verbal and written communication skills
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills
PAY INFORMATION
$130,000 - $150,000 annually
Hired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on successful completion of defined performance objectives.

In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees with less than 10 years of service are eligible for up to 23 paid days off and employees with 10 or more years of service are eligible for up to 28 paid days off. Note that all Sales Consultants, except those in CA, are not eligible for paid time off, but receive the equivalent days in unpaid time off and 8 paid sales holidays. Employees should consult with their local Human Resources Representative to discuss the composition of their available time off, which may differ based on work location and paid sick time eligibility.
