Job Title: Electrician Mechanic
Job Description
The Electrician Mechanic installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems in a warehouse, ground-up construction environment. This role focuses on bending and installing conduit, pulling and labeling wires, wiring control and panel boxes, and working safely at heights using lifts while following OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
Install electrical conduit systems, including bending pipe up to one inch and routing both overhead and underground conduit.
Perform warehouse ground-up construction electrical work, from rough-in through final installation.
Install overhead light fixtures and ensure proper mounting, alignment, and electrical connections.
Wire and install 3-way switches and other switching devices according to electrical diagrams and codes.
Pull, route, and label wires accurately to support efficient installation and future maintenance.
Wire control and panel boxes, ensuring neat, organized, and code-compliant terminations.
Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to complete installations and repairs.
Use hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment safely and effectively for electrical installation and maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot electrical systems, motor controls, and components to identify issues and perform timely repairs.
Operate a scissor lift to perform overhead electrical work while following all safety procedures.
Inspect completed work to verify compliance with electrical codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store tools, materials, and equipment.
Follow OSHA and site safety requirements at all times, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience with electrical installation in a construction or warehouse environment.
Proficiency in bending conduit and pipe up to one inch and installing both overhead and underground conduit systems.
Ability to install and wire overhead light fixtures and 3-way switches.
Experience pulling, routing, and labeling electrical wires accurately.
Skill in wiring control and panel boxes in a neat, organized, and code-compliant manner.
Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, motor controls, and related components.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment related to electrical work.
Capability to operate a scissor lift safely for overhead electrical tasks.
OSHA 10 certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with warehouse ground-up construction practices and sequencing.
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards applicable to commercial and industrial environments.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills when routing and labeling wires and completing panel work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks on schedule.
Comfort working at heights using lifts and on various surfaces in a construction setting.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hazleton, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
