Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Autonomous Vehicle Systems
Job Description
This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for autonomous vehicle and advanced driver-assistance platforms. You will translate system-level requirements into robust electrical designs across hardware, wiring, and vehicle architectures while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams. The position is ideal for an engineer with strong electrical design experience and a solid understanding of autonomous or ADAS technologies who enjoys solving complex, system-level challenges.
Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness architectures using specialized electrical design tools.
Create and refine PCB designs and associated documentation to support vehicle-level integration.
Support electrical system development for autonomous vehicle and ADAS platforms, including sensors, compute modules, ECUs, power distribution, and vehicle networks.
Translate system and functional requirements into detailed electrical designs that meet performance, safety, and reliability targets.
Collaborate closely with systems, software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into the overall vehicle architecture.
Participate in design reviews, DFMEA activities, and technical discussions related to vehicle architecture and electrical robustness.
Support proto@type builds, vehicle integration, debugging, and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve design issues and support production readiness.
Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant automotive standards, best practices, and internal development processes.
Document design decisions, changes, and test results clearly to support traceability and future improvements.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Strong hands-on experience using professional electrical design tools for schematics, wiring, and harness development.
Proven experience in automotive electrical engineering, including schematics, PCB design, wiring, and harness design.
Direct experience working on autonomous vehicles, ADAS systems, or advanced vehicle electronics.
Solid understanding of vehicle electrical architectures, including power distribution, grounding, and networked systems such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
Ability to interpret and translate system and functional requirements into detailed electrical designs.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams and fast-paced development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, robust engineering solutions.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with sensors and systems commonly used in autonomous vehicles, such as cameras, radar, LiDAR, and high-performance compute platforms.
Exposure to functional safety concepts or system safety considerations in automotive design.
Experience supporting proto@type builds, vehicle testing, or early-stage platform development.
Familiarity with OEM or Tier 1 automotive development processes and documentation.
Experience participating in DFMEA or similar structured design robustness activities.
Interest in cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology and emerging automotive electronics trends.
Work Environment
You will work in a highly innovative engineering environment focused on next-generation autonomous vehicle platforms where electrical design is mission-critical. The role involves close collaboration with systems, software, and mechanical engineers, as well as interaction with suppliers and manufacturing partners. The work typically takes place in a modern office and lab setting that supports design, proto@type builds, and vehicle integration activities. The environment emphasizes systems thinking, practical problem-solving, and continuous learning, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on the performance and safety of advanced vehicle platforms.
