Position Summary:

United States Steel Corporation, Tubular Products, is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to support and grow tubular product sales across the Southwest region of the United States. This role is responsible for managing existing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and aligning customer needs with U. S. Steel's commercial, operational, and margin objectives. The Account Manager partners closely with internal teams to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while driving profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

Promote and sell tubular products to customers primarily located in the Southwest region of the United States. Maintain and grow sales with existing tubular customers while identifying opportunities for expansion.

Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and market dynamics to effectively meet customer needs while optimizing U. S. Steel's operating margin, inventory levels, and shipping performance.

Identify and pursue new business through professional networking, technical presentations, industry conferences, and targeted prospecting efforts, including cold calling.

Collaborate with inside sales, operations planning, technical experts, pricing managers, and producing facilities to achieve sales targets and broader business objectives.

Serve as a trusted commercial partner to customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.

Provide timely and accurate market intelligence to U. S. Steel, including insights on market conditions, pricing trends, competitive activity, and new product development opportunities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; degree in business preferred. Technical or engineering degrees will also be considered, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) or related tubular products.

Demonstrated success in outside sales, including building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization.

Experience mentoring or developing others is preferred.

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, presentation applications, and CRM or sales support tools.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
