Summary The incumbent serves as the Facility Operations Specialist/Fleet Manager for the Facilities Management Service Line, serving as the senior program authority responsible for the planning, directing, administering, evaluating and maintaining buildings, lawns, roads, common areas and the Medical Center's Fleet Management Program. Responsibilities The duties include but are not limited to: Evaluate characteristics of integrated systems used throughout the medical center. Oversee the Transportation Section Fleet Management Program and serve as the principle advisor to the Executive Leadership regarding fleet operation, utilization, acquisition strategy, and lifecycle management. Direct centralized vehicle motorpool operation for acquisition, operation, and maintenance of all vehicles leased by General Service Administration (GSA) and agency owned vehicles. Serve as COR (contracting officer representative) and contract Coordinator for most services, maintenance, and repair contracts. Perform duties as the the point-of-contact for maintenance and repair work requests. Collaborate with other Maintenance and Operations staff to ensure a timely response to the emergency work order phone and effectively coordinate with the shop supervisors to make the appropriate response to the emergency. Assure compliance with all certifications, Joint Commission, safety, fire prevention, infectious disease, and security programs for the Facilities Management Service. Inspect and direct activities providing services. Inspect contractors' work for compliance with specifications or standards. Determine and project funding requirements for projects. Compile information and documents for justifying budget requests for projects or orders under consideration. Track all Joint Commission violations and any other compliance inspection. Establishing and maintain corrective action plans. Serve as the Fleet Card Program Manager. A purchase card holder who is responsible for over 160 fleet cards. Determine which maintenance work requests can be approved and processed based on experience and judgment. Determine the resources and appropriate compliance with directives, assess the impact of the planned operation and maintenance, and any restrictions or barriers that will need to be overcome prior to work commencing.
