Job Title: Supply Chain Information Systems Manager
Job Description
The Supply Chain Information Systems Manager oversees the operation, maintenance, and strategic direction of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and related supply chain systems. This role ensures system stability, data integrity, accurate vendor and item maintenance, and reliable reporting, while continuously enhancing system capabilities to support a supply chain strategy focused on productivity, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and related supply chain systems.
Ensure system stability, data integrity, and overall reliability of MMIS and associated applications.
Manage vendor and item master data, ensuring accurate setup, maintenance, and ongoing data quality.
Develop, maintain, and validate reports to support purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and other supply chain functions.
Identify, plan, and implement system enhancements that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness across the supply chain.
Analyze complex data sets from MMIS, ERP, and related systems to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and other cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with operational needs.
Lead and manage a team responsible for supply chain information systems, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
Run multiple projects and initiatives in parallel, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with organizational priorities.
Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, configure systems, and support change management for new features or process changes.
Create and deliver presentations and reports that communicate system performance, project status, and improvement outcomes to leadership.
Ensure proper documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures related to MMIS and supply chain information systems.
Essential Skills
Deep knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS).
Experience with ERP systems covering purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and reporting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
Proficiency with Microsoft Access for database-related tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing and delivering presentations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project for planning and tracking initiatives.
Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into process improvements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Proven experience managing and leading teams in a supply chain or information systems environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple initiatives in parallel.
5+ years of hospital supply chain information systems management experience OR 10-15 years of hospital supply chain information systems experience with at least 5 years in progressive leadership roles.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with supply chain data related to purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and reporting in a hospital environment.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement using data and system capabilities.
Experience coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to align systems with operational and strategic goals.
Ability to document system processes, configurations, and procedures clearly and accurately.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office and healthcare supply chain environment, working extensively with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Materials Management Information Systems (MMIS), and the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project. The position involves regular collaboration with purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and other operational teams, and requires managing multiple projects and initiatives concurrently. Work is primarily computer-based, focused on data analysis, system configuration, reporting, and meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
