Sr. Financial Analyst - Supply Chain
The Sr. Financial Analyst - Supply Chain is responsible for managing data and providing core insights into supply chain costs, specifically related to transportation and warehousing. This position interfaces daily with Finance and Supply Chain to ensure proper allocations and financial impacts are captured to reflect business strategies. This position will ensure timely and accurate data is available to support teams in financial analytics as relation to supply chain costs, month end analysis, as well as provide insights on trend and scenario modeling. This position will also require strong communication in presenting findings and proposing enhanced allocation and data logic methodology.
Essential Functions
Maintain large data sets for supply chain costs and allocations; primarily leveraged for month end close and financial analysis
Design, develop, implement, and maintain weekly and monthly financial reports that provide management with information used in decision-making.
Prepare and coordinate monthly variance analysis of actuals, plan and forecast.
Develop financial and data models to aid in better understanding overall financial performance and value creation.
Maintain various management reporting models to assist leadership in analyzing results of operations for all supply chain metrics as well as impact to the business.
Support the supply chain team with regular financial reporting and metrics, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
Monitor direct and indirect spend to ensure it is consistent with current company strategy
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) reviews focusing on (i) validating assumptions for identified cost-savings opportunities (ii) monitoring implementation progress of agreed-upon actions and (iii) tracking impact
Work with financial and data analysts to drive automation and data accuracy
Work with accounting teams on accruals and analysis of cost exposures
Assist in annual budget process including budget modeling and actual vs forecast analysis
Investigate and explain variances or unexpected results.

Work closely with other financial cost bucket teams in standardization of data sets and inputs required to maintain data accuracy and timely delivery

Competencies
Experienced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc.)
Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and convey complex financial data to cross-functional teams and senior leaders
Written Communication - writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information from a variety of levels and technical proficiencies.
Time & Project Management - Comfortable working within tight and changing deadlines, able to work independently and set priorities. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Previous experience with month end closing and budget planning preferred
Understanding of Supply Chain cost structures, variance analysis, and cost drivers preferred
Understanding of Financial statements, revenue, cost and margin preferred
Experience with data visualization tools - Power BI or comparable preferred

Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Data Science, or related field
Preferred:
MBA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Data Science or related field
CPA (inactive or active)

Preferred: CPA, APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP PMI
Technical Skills:
Required: Excel, Coding language (R)/Python
