Responsibilities Develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access. Assist in the development and implementation of PEO Transport security programs and measures to ensure that systems, network, and data users understand. Collaborate with staff implementing, maintaining, and/or conducting on-site and remote analyses of information systems standard security products and systems. Develop, evaluate, and implements security products, procedures and requirements to include Risk Management framework (RMF) within DOD. Stays abreast with NIST Special Publication 800-53 Rev. 5 and other relevant cybersecurity SPs. Customer Service-Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs Oral Communication-Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience Problem Solving-Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Developing, maintaining, and implementing security programs within an organization, including researching essential security controls such as those in NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and other relevant cybersecurity special publications; in addition to IT related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as described in the vacancy announcement. Salary range includes a Targeted Local Market Supplement (TLMS) in accordance with Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1400.25, Volume 3006. A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
