Summary The Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Reporting position is in the Office of Finance at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office Headquarters, Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Finance, providing leadership and high-level management expertise in directing and managing the Office of Financial Reporting. Responsibilities Will serve as the Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Reporting position is in the Office of Finance at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Central Office Headquarters, Washington, DC. The incumbent will report to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Finance, providing leadership and high-level management expertise in directing and managing the Office of Financial Reporting, its programs and staff; and providing coordination and oversight. This position is responsible for completing quarterly financial statements and developing the Annual Financial Report. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Reconciles Department of VA accounts with the Department of the Treasury and producing consolidated financial statements that provide an analysis of the status of VA's financial management. Oversees all initiatives to develop financial reporting solutions that accurately conjoin the financial data from the legacy financial system and the new financial management system. Oversees the production of the annual Agency Financial Report in accordance with Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board, Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Treasury standards. Analyzes VA's asset, liabilities, equities, investments, inventories, receivables, properties, accruals, contingent liabilities, loan, insurances, and budgetary transactions to ensure VA's financial statements are free of material misstatements. VA structures its SES positions into pay bands. This is a pay band 3 position and the salary range is $151,661 to 209,600. The categories are based on the position scope, breadth, functions, and placement within the structure of organizational levels across the Department/Agency.
