The Supply Chain Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within and between departments in alignment with the production schedule. This role focuses on demand planning and forecasting, reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, and compiling detailed reports on inventory levels and costs. You will work closely with the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) team and play a key part in ongoing operational work, integrating into established supply chain planning processes at a mid-level of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to the production schedule.
Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to ensure timely execution of operational plans.
Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and material requirements and establish material priorities.
Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands and avoid shortages.
Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
Compile and analyze reports on inventory levels, costs, and related supply chain metrics to support planning and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with the S&OP planning team on demand planning and demand forecasting activities.
Use tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SAP (if available) to analyze data, prepare presentations, and support planning decisions.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
Accurately document and record relevant customer, client, and operational information.
Provide basic mentoring and support to colleagues by sharing knowledge and offering constructive performance feedback when appropriate.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of supply chain experience.
At least 5 years of demand planning experience.
At least 5 years of experience using Excel and PowerPoint with strong proficiency.
Strong experience in supply chain management, inventory, and inventory management.
Demonstrated experience in demand planning and demand forecasting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for creating clear and effective presentations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
Ability to accurately document and record customer and client information.
Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
Experience with common computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Power BI (PBI) for data visualization and reporting.
Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.

Work Environment
This is a fully remote position with a requirement to work core hours aligned to the Pacific Time Zone. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. There is potential for contract extension depending on business needs and budget.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
