Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a busy organization in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage invoice processing accurately and keep payment activities organized in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining timely vendor payments, applying proper account classifications, and supporting day-to-day accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

Review incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness before entering them into the accounts payable system.

Match invoices with supporting documentation, batch them appropriately, and assign the correct general ledger coding.

Process vendor payments through check runs and ACH transactions while following established payment schedules.

Maintain organized records of payable activity and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams as needed.

Monitor outstanding invoices to help ensure obligations are paid on time and in accordance with company procedures.

Assist with reconciliations and reporting related to accounts payable transactions and vendor balances. Requirements - At least 3 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable support.

Proven ability to match, batch, and code invoices with a high degree of accuracy.

Experience processing payments through ACH and traditional check runs.

Strong understanding of account coding and invoice review procedures.

Solid attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal departments.
