Route Sales Associate

The Route Sales Associate performs warehouse duties and provides route relief as required and is responsible for providing great customer service. When on route, the RSA ensures customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. Sells and delivers coffee, tea, and related products to customers as assigned.

Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, overtime when needed, occasional overnights and occasional weekend travel for branch coverage within region.

Driving Requirements: Valid Drivers License required . Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical exam.

Responsibilities

Performs all warehouse operations when not providing route relief, to include, but not limited to, inventory, loading, unloading, put-away, data entry, cleaning and organizing.

Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products on each call when assigned to a route.

Ensure equipment is clean and in working order, executing a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.

Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ensure all customers on a daily set schedule receive delivery and service as required.

Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route.

Responsible for increasing Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions and ensuring the beverage station is set to standard when assigned to a route.

Notify manager of any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction or opportunities found while running route relief.

Assist manager on inventory cycle counts, warehouse duties and customer related matters as assigned.

Become familiar with brewing equipment and learn to make basic repairs or adjustments.

Consistently execute the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. Make sales calls when time and opportunity allows.

May perform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.

To account for cost-of-living differences, we apply location-based salary adjustments. Employees working in higher-cost cities may receive a geographical pay premium, which is determined based on market data and local economic factors.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which may include benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off.

The total leave provided in the Company's Paid Time Off ("PTO") policy is in at least an amount of hours and pay sufficient to satisfy the requirements of state or local laws in the locations where the Company operates.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Warehouse experience preferred.

Route delivery experience a plus.

Customer service background preferred.

Previous foodservice industry experience desired.

Possess a clean and good driving record.
