Job Description
Manage the daily operations of the food service department to provide safe, nutritious, and appetizing meals that meet the individual dietary needs and preferences of residents in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Hillcrest Care Center & The Towers standards.
Essential Duties include but not limited to
Maintain sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, HACCP, and CMS requirements.
Plan, prepare, and serve high-quality meals, ensuring compliance with therapeutic diets.
Conduct nutritional assessments, develop care plans, and provide diet instructions under dietitian supervision.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen personnel, including cooks and dietary aides.
Maintain food inventory, order supplies, and manage the dietary department budget.
Monitor food temperatures, quality, and presentation, conducting regular kitchen audits and food safety checks.
Meet with residents to determine dietary needs and preferences.
