SUMMARY
The Controller I ensure development, availability, management, and control of factories financial systems and information, including enforcement of company policy and government rules and regulations as they impact financial results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for all accounting and financial functions for the plant, including general accounting, cost accounting, account reconciliations, financial and operational reporting, internal controls, cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Assist in developing and maintaining the plant's internal controls and accounting policies and procedures, including adherence to Sarbanes Oxley and COSO.
Prepare operational and financial reports and provides analysis, counsel, advice, and recommendations to help top-level management make operating decisions to reduce costs, improve profits and return on investment and to achieve strategic goals and plans.
Manage the capital planning and budgeting and control system.
Collaborate as a business partner with plant and financial management to effectively manage and control the local business.
Lead the financial staff at the plant and be accountable for plant level responsibilities including general accounting, cost accounting, inventory, financial business analysis and financial reporting.
Liaison with corporate financial staff, as required.
Ensure company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all Accounting and Office Support department functions.
Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly responsible for the teams in the respective area.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Provides ongoing training to applicable staff to develop and encourage their technical and operational performance.
Meets with appropriate staff on a timely basis for performance evaluations and goal setting.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Five years' accounting experience
Lean manufacturing is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Green Belt Certification is preferred.
CPA or MBA preferable
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Articulate with use of good grammar skills.
A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
JOB SKILLS
Proficient in MS Office.
Large ERP experience, SAP preferred.
Project based accounting.
Understanding of Value Stream Accounting/lean accounting.
Able to introduce/implement lean metrics (KBMs or KPIs Dash Boards).
Competent in the application of accounting, finance, auditing, and cost control technologies.
Capable of analyzing complex and abstract data; and reasoning and reaching conclusions without continued guidance of standards, precedents, or direction from others.
An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
Competent in participative management, team approaches and other management techniques for work accomplishment and problem solving.
Must be a self-starter and be able to meet duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision. Position is critical to the health of the corporation and errors could result in significant monetary loss and hardship to the corporation. Dependability, accuracy, and highest integrity are essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas
Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses in specific areas
Hearing protection, in specific locations
Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
