Group/DivisionSPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
This role puts you handson with sophisticated cleanroom process and metrology tools that support R&D, product development, and customer demos at KLA! You'll solve, maintain, and optimize equipment while partnering closely with engineers and facilities teams to keep tools running at peak performance. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot process and metrology equipment in a cleanroom environment, including hardware repairs, leak checking, startups, and recovery from tool downs
Perform, document, and lead preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and refurbishment programs across tools, pumps, plasma systems, and subsystems
Lead cleanroom operations and logistics, including tool support inventory, consumables, test wafers, cleanroom supplies, and wafer shipments
Partner with facilities and site services (GWS/JLL) to support cleanroom certifications, HEPA maintenance, chiller support, upgrades, and facility repairs while improving tool availability
Support R&D, demo, and product development activities, including process runs, thinfilm characterization, lifetime testing, proto@type hardware validation, and characterization/qualification work
Participate in operational planning activities, including OPEX/CAPEX budgeting and quarterly reforecastingRequired & Preferred QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Associate's degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical experienceor equivalent handson experience
Experience working with semiconductor, process, vacuum, plasma, or metrology equipment in a lab or cleanroom environment
Strong handson solving and mechanical proficiency
Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and system startups
Ability to follow detailed procedures, document work accurately, and maintain equipment logs
Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and adhering to safety and contaminationcontrol protocolsPreferred Qualifications
Experience with thinfilm processes, vacuum systems, plasma tools, or MVD equipment
Familiarity with wafer handling, test wafers, and wafer logistics
Experience supporting R&D, demo labs, or proto@type development environments
Basic understanding of equipment calibration programs and refurbishment processes
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work crossfunctionally with engineers, facilities, and operations teams
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience
Base Pay Range: $27.26 - $46.35 Per Hour
