Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker plays a key role in receiving, storing, and shipping materials accurately and efficiently in a small, family-oriented warehouse environment. This position handles a variety of tasks including unloading trucks, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory, and preparing orders for delivery while following safety standards and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities
Receive and unload incoming materials, verify packing slips against purchase orders, and ensure the accuracy of each shipment.
Process return shipments from customers when required, following established procedures.
Sort, count, package, and unpack inbound and outbound materials to support daily warehouse operations.
Use handheld barcode scanners and RF scanners to complete all necessary inbound and outbound documentation and data entry.
Accurately pull orders through completion, staging materials in the designated loading and unloading areas.
Cut aluminum and brush within required tolerances according to production order guidelines, inspecting materials for damage or defects and notifying appropriate personnel when issues arise.
Fill and maintain bins and racks, monitor inventory levels, and help maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
Prepare shipments for transport by selecting the most economical and efficient shipping method and choosing appropriate shipping containers.
Pack products securely to ensure safe delivery to customers.
Enter data for UPS orders and other shipping systems as needed.
Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently using material handling equipment and manual methods.
Build pallets and properly band and wrap skids to secure products for shipment.
Maintain pallet racks, aisles, and general warehouse organization to support safe and efficient operations.
Operate warehouse equipment such as sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and punch presses in a safe and responsible manner.
Perform general housekeeping and basic building maintenance duties to keep the facility clean and orderly.
Assist with inventory management, including counting inventory and participating in physical inventory activities.
Support inventory control processes by accurately counting, sorting, and recording product quantities.
Serve as an active member of the warehouse team, providing assistance to coworkers as needed to meet daily goals.
Keep the supervisor informed of key issues, discrepancies, safety concerns, and operational challenges.
Follow and support all safety-related regulations, procedures, and guidelines within the warehouse.
Use hand and power tools as needed to complete warehouse and packaging tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Essential Skills
Experience with order pulling, picking, and preparing orders for shipment.
Proficiency in material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving products within a warehouse.
Ability to build pallets and band and wrap skids for secure shipment.
Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including packaging and labeling.
Ability to count inventory accurately and support inventory control activities.
Basic data entry skills for recording shipments, inventory, and UPS orders.
Ability to use handheld barcode scanners and RF scanners for tracking materials.
Experience operating a sit-down forklift and pallet jack.
Capability to stand, bend, twist, and lift 50-70 lbs as part of daily duties.
Basic reading and math skills to follow work orders, shipping documents, and measurement guidelines.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
General labor experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Attention to detail to verify shipment accuracy and inspect materials for damage or defects.
Commitment to following safety regulations and maintaining a safe work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in a small warehouse environment is beneficial.
Experience operating a punch press is a plus.
Familiarity with UPS shipping systems and procedures is helpful.
Ability to determine economical and efficient shipping methods.
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others across warehouse functions.
Good communication skills to keep supervisors informed of key issues and collaborate with team members.

Work Environment
This role is based in a small warehouse with a family-oriented atmosphere. The facility uses fans and open dock doors for airflow, so it can be cold in the winter and warmer in the summer, especially in trucks. The environment involves active, hands-on work with equipment such as sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, handheld barcode scanners, RF scanners, and punch presses, as well as hand and power tools. The warehouse aisles and pallet racks are maintained to support safe operations, and employees can wear one earbud while working in accordance with safety guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Easton, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
