Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

Demonstrated proficiency in English, including strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational abilities with a high level of attention to detail

Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel

Experience managing and publishing website and social media content

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse environments while exercising sound independent judgment

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of university and higher education administrative processes

Experience processing course overrides using Banner

Familiarity with HB2504 and HB1027 compliance requirements and procedures

Experience supervising, training, and directing student workers

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead projects with minimal supervision

Proficiency with Texas State systems, including SAP , Banner, CatsWeb, and Logi

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative and general clerical support to the management and staff within a specific division, department, or unit.

Job Duties

Greet, screen, and assist office visitors in a professional and welcoming manner

Supervise student workers by prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities

Assist undergraduate students with course registration, including processing enrollment overrides

Ensure compliance with HB2504 and HB1027 requirements, including tracking deadlines and documentation

Support the preparation and administration of end-of-semester student evaluations

Provide administrative support to the scholarship committee, including coordination and documentation

Manage and update departmental social media accounts and website content

Source, develop, and coordinate marketing materials for events and recruitment initiatives

Take an active leadership role in planning and executing annual departmental events

Support faculty advisors and activities of Computer Science student organizations

Perform additional duties as assigned
