Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a team on a contract basis in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In this role, you will handle key accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, as well as bank reconciliations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to improving financial processes and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

Accurately process and enter vendor invoices as part of accounts payable operations.

Support monthly bank and credit card reconciliation efforts to ensure financial accuracy.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues efficiently.

Analyze aging reports and investigate outstanding receivable balances to ensure timely follow-up.

Reconcile discrepancies between invoices, payments, and system records for accounts receivable.

Work with cross-functional teams to validate balances and identify necessary adjustments.

Assist in resolving legacy accounts receivable issues and enhancing record accuracy.

Document adjustments thoroughly to maintain a clear audit trail.

Identify accounts requiring follow-up, adjustments, or write-offs and take appropriate action.

Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Oracle NetSuite to perform daily tasks effectively.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.

Proficiency in Sage and Oracle NetSuite accounting software.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice entry.

Familiarity with accounts receivable functions, such as analyzing aging reports and reconciling records.

Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations accurately.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies.

Strong communication skills for working across teams and resolving financial issues.

High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain precise records.
