Nexstar Media Group in Billings is seeking a strategic, analytical, and creative Account Executive to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on planning, optimizing, and storytelling with data---helping local businesses grow through smart, integrated media strategies.
The Account Executive will serve as strategic marketing partner to local businesses by educating, advising, and executing innovative, results driven advertising solutions across broadcast and digital platforms.
The Account Executive is a client facing marketing expert responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing customized advertising strategies. This role partners closely with sales, creative, and operations teams to translate business goals into measurable marketing outcomes. The strategist focuses on planning, performance, and optimization across the full customer journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Function as a trusted marketing strategist and advisor for assigned clients.
Lead discovery conversations to understand client goals, challenges, audiences, and competitive landscapes.
Design integrated marketing strategies that align broadcast and digital tactics to business objectives.
Develop clear, insight driven presentations and campaign recommendations.
Translate complex marketing concepts into actionable insights clients can understand and apply.
Analyze campaign performance using data and reporting tools; optimize strategies to improve results.
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure accurate execution and timely delivery across all platforms.
Support account growth through insight led recommendations and performance reviews.
Strategically apply and optimize digital marketing solutions, including:
o Search Marketing (SEM & SEO).
o Programmatic Display & Retargeting.
o Reputation Management.
o Content & Native Advertising.
o Mobile and Cross Device Targeting.
o Paid Social Media.
o Email Marketing.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, digital strategy, advertising, or analytics (media experience preferred).
Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast paced environment.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics and digital ad platforms (DFP experience a plus).
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred but not required.
