The role begins as a maternity leave coverage and offers the chance to prove yourself in a highly visible finance role, with the potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Work On

You'll support day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to higher-level finance processes:

Own the end-to-end travel & expense process, including review, audit, approvals, and monthly reporting

Reconcile company credit card activity, ensuring proper documentation, coding, and posting

Support accounts payable processing, including invoice review, data entry, payment support, and backlog resolution

Maintain organized, audit-ready records through digital filing and documentation best practices

Assist with monthly and year-end close, including journal entries and support schedules

Gain direct exposure to the CFO, supporting ad hoc reporting, data preparation, and operational finance requests

Support accounts receivable activities as needed (invoicing, cash application, follow-ups)

Help track and reconcile promotional spends, ensuring alignment with budgets and accounting standards

Collaborate closely with the accounting team and contribute to improving processes and workflows

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1-3 years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, expense management, or finance administration

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment

Experience using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data organization)

Familiarity with expense reimbursements, credit card reconciliations, and journal entries

Comfortable learning new systems and working with financial data

This role supports a global finance team and follows a hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 remote). You'll work in a professional, collaborative environment with strong opportunities to learn, grow, and gain long-term value from a temporary assignment.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
