Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the FUNDS ADMINISTRATION & ACCOUNTING DIVISION of NETPDC. Responsibilities You will apply knowledge of financial management regulations, practices, procedure, and policies to technical work performed in support of accounting, budget, or other related financial management work. You will utilize automated systems in support of financial management work to post, examine, balance, computer, and extract data from records to prepare reports. You will identify discrepancies in various accounting, budget and/or financial management support assignments. You will make corrections to identified problems by applying specific rules, regulations and procedures. You will provide technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items. You will determine pay, maintain payroll records and complete reports pertaining to civilian employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of financial management regulations, practices, procedure, and policies to technical work performed in support of accounting, budget, or other related financial management work; 2) Utilizing automated systems in support of financial management work; 3) Identifying discrepancies in various accounting, budget and/or financial management support assignments; and 4) Making corrections to identified problems by applying specific rules, regulations and procedures.
