ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to support our NASA prime program at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility at Wallops Island, VA.

Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.

Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.

May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area OR may demonstrate innovative influence within a project that has impact and participation from multiple departments. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems are difficult and moderately complex. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.

Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors depending upon the job function. Explains policies, practices and procedures of the job area to others within ASRC Federal. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies and procedures. Sometimes requires ability to influence others outside of own job area on policies,practices and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or 1 year of experience in lieu of 1 year of education.Experience: 5+ years of related work experience.
