Description

Our client, based in Smithfield Rhode Island is actively interviewing for an accounts payable specialist. In this role, you will oversee essential financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable functions. This position requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and timely payment.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment of financial records with bank statements.

Perform data entry tasks with precision, maintaining up-to-date records in financial systems.

Manage accounts payable functions, including check runs and posting cash transactions.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.

Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data effectively.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding balances or issues.

Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities for management review

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in financial software such as Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.

Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records.

Knowledge of check runs and cash posting processes.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
