Job Description:
GDIT/ARMA-Global is currently pursuing a qualified candidate to serve as RF/Data Links Communications Engineer, Senior to support the Design, Development, Engineering, Integration, Testing and Implementation and Sustainment of critical technologies for our customers.
Responsibilities
As a Senior RF / Data Links Communications Engineer you will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. You'll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create effective solutions, providing support to organizational Development & Engineering projects to deliver next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities, culminating in the delivery of unparalleled services that enhance customer mission effectiveness.

Advocate for, and articulate Development, Integration, Testing and product sustainment activities, contributing to processes and outcomes that enhance productivity, reduce cost while providing for evolutionary change to legacy service delivery models with sole purpose of increasing warfighter service availability, resilience, effectiveness and readiness
Adhere to standards, policies, protocols, procedures and best practices that truly embody a "Best of Breed" Development & Engineer services delivery team
Participate in architectural and design discussions as they pertain to Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects
Participating in strategic engagements and events, as required
Brief stakeholders on planned and active projects and activities
Train users on new capabilitiesYou'll be critical to executing solutions in support of customer outcomes. Specifically, you'll be:
Keeping up-to-date with the latest innovations in technology - from new RF and Data Links technology platforms, software and services to cutting edge tools that allow customers and teams to capitalize on efficiencies and deliver cost savings while enabling service expansion through deliberate technology investments that yield transformational capabilities to end-users
Lead projects, support milestones and provide for hands-on technical development, integration, and implementation
Leading the execution of approved technology-centric strategies while fostering partnerships, and external relationships with other strategic partners to deliver resilient and highly available solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years' electronic maintenance in the following areas: Digital/analog signal processing, Communications equipment (VHF, UHF, microwave, fiber-optic), Digital computer systems; Test equipment, RF signal processing, Antennas, RF systems, Primary and secondary power equipment, Cisco TCP/IP networking equipment, CoT Software products
4+ years' of experience in PC hardware and software management desirable as it relates to RF and Data Link systems
4+ years' of experience in a Microsoft Windows environment
DoD 8570.01 IAT level II certification required; Sec+ CE requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Specific experience with a majority of the following required: -PRC-117, PRC-150, PRC-152 radios. -PSC-5 radios. -ARC-210, ARC-231 radios. -Joint Range Extension (JRE) and ADSI terminals. -MIDS/LVT data-link terminals. -SADL/EPLRS radio. -ROVER, VORTEX terminals
Must be knowledgeable in the management of Air Force equipment assets
Must be able to effectively conduct and interpret tests, and troubleshoot solutions
Must be able to solder and fabricate RF coax cables and multi-conductor cables
Knowledge and experience working with Cisco routing and switching platforms is desirable
Ability to manage multiple issues and user problem reports to best determine resolution priority, as required to complete assigned tasks
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to create and maintain systems related documentation
Ability to assemble equipment racks
Solid written and verbal communication skills
The ability to convey and train user on newly integrated capabilitiesSecurity Requirements

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
