Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage a high volume of low to medium-complexity invoices with precision and efficiency. This role requires matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper coding and approvals, and entering invoice data into the accounting system.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of low to medium-complexity invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.

Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper coding and approvals.

Enter invoice data into the accounting system and verify accuracy before posting.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain organized digital and physical AP files.

Assist with weekly check runs and payment processing.

Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice status.

Support month-end closing activities as needed.

Essential Skills

1-3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site role, scheduled from Monday through Friday, starting at 7:30 AM. You will be part of a collaborative finance team with opportunities to learn and grow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
