How you'll make an impact in this role

Provide legal advice, support and counsel to the organization's legal function in support of strategic and operational priorities within the technology and innovations practice area. Attorney will be asked to draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts for the use and license of technology and the procurement of technology services.

Partner with Ascension's subsidiary group purchasing organization, The Resource Group, on the negotiation of complex technology engagements.

Develop and enhance subject matter expertise in a defined area within this space (examples: FDA software as a medical device, Cures Act/Information Blocking, data privacy and security, commercialization of internally developed software and technologies).

Advance the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines supporting the technology and innovations practice area.

Keep current with legal developments affecting the technology and innovations practice area and incorporate such information into advice, counsel and support for the organization.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Attorney obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

Juris Doctorate degree required.

Work Experience:

5 years of experience as licensed, practicing attorney required.
