We are seeking entry level candidates to come join our software engineering team at BAE Systems in southern New Hampshire in the spring/summer of 2026 . Here, you ll work alongside some of the brightest minds in engineering, tackling complex technical challenges that shape the future of defense and aerospace. Whether it s designing real-time embedded software, developing advanced signal processing algorithms, or integrating mission-critical systems, you ll help deliver the technology that defines modern electronic warfare and situational awareness.

What You ll Do

As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, you ll join a multi-disciplinary team where you ll:

Design, develop, and test software for advanced defense and space systems.

Contribute to full lifecycle engineeringfrom coding and debugging to integration and system testing.

Collaborate with system, hardware, and test engineers in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Support field demonstrations, software installations, and system-level testing.

Gain exposure to advanced technologies and tools while building the foundation for a long-term engineering career.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field received

Less than one year of full-time professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)

Proficiency in one or more high level programming languages (e.g., C, C , Java, Python)

Working knowledge of software design and code utilizing Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) techniques

Ability to obtain clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Security clearance (Secret or higher)

Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools (e.g., version control, agile methods, DevOps pipelines)

Prior internship or research experience in related field

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79365 - $134921

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
