Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, detail oriented, and hardworking individual to join our Corporate Access Team as a dedicated resource to our Fixed Income Research team. Given the scope of the role, it is essential the candidate has relevant previous experience. The Corporate Access team is part of the Global Research department and interfaces with multiple constituencies within the firm, the investment community, and our corporate clients while providing our FICC investing clients with access to management teams through Non-Deal Roadshows, Field Trips and Investor Conferences and support of analyst marketing.
Interface with Corporate management teams on non-deal roadshow related items from beginning to end (including but not limited to flights, accommodation, venues, cars, AV, printing, etc.)
Responsible for approximately 6 conferences a year from beginning to end (including but not limited to working with our corporate events team, liaising with corporates, scheduling 1x1 and small group meetings and travelling to designation conferences)
Responsible for select fieldtrip planning including responsibility for the organization of Fieldtrips & Bespoke trips liaising with clients and corporates directly and promoting events internally. This mainly includes producing marketing materials, organizing logistics for the entire trip, visa application when necessary, working with in-house security in regard to high-risk regions.
Interact with sector professionals including research, sales & trading and investment banking across divisions to gain a broader understanding of the corporate community
Build a strong working relationship with salespeople, sales-traders, research analysts, buy-side and sell-side customers, investment banking and capital markets
Work with our research analysts and sales force to ensure our best institutional accounts are given access to management
Utilize our internal systems to arrange all client meeting schedules
Provide onsite support at events (group meetings, conferences, etc)
Partner with our Corporate Events team on conferences
Obtain feedback from institutional investors and draft feedback reports
Prepare and present marketing materials, including pitch books and shareholder analysis for corporate clients
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in corporate access
A basic understanding of the FICC business
Professionalism and comfort interfacing with senior management, both internally and with our corporate clients
Proficiency with MS Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate ideas in a professional and articulate manner
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Ability to work independently but also contribute to the team-based atmosphere
Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment
Willingness to travel periodically for events held outside the NYC area (when appropriate)
Quick learner with a pro-active approach
Strong team player and flexible working style to be able to work successfully across several analyst teams
Demonstrated team player mentality and the ability to develop relationships across a broad range of constituencies
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to make good business judgments quickly and proactively ask questions
Knowledge and aptitude for understanding companies and stocks, bonds, fundamental analysis, financial statements and valuation
Experienced Corporate Access professional with 2-5 years' experience
