We are currently hiring a Marketing/Proposal Coordinator in our McLean, VA office. This role will support Clark affiliate Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, an award-winning developer of public buildings and infrastructure. Our mission is to craft customized public-private partnerships (P3s) that address our clients' needs and exceed their expectations. We're seeking a marketing professional to join our creative, collaborative, and high-energy team. You assist pursuit teams in creating innovative proposals, presentations, and other materials that help Edgemoor win projects. This is full-time, in-office position is based in McLean, Virginia.
Responsibilities
Organize and support proposal teams; build positive relationships with operational staff to facilitate team collaboration, creativity, and effectiveness.
Assist in developing and executing winning RFQ and RFP responses, actively engaging and delivering at all stages of proposal development, including writing, editing, and visual communication.
Write and/or edit compelling proposal content that directly responds to questions in the RFQ or RFP.
Assist in proposal production (copying, collating, binding, etc.).
Develop and edit presentation materials for team interviews with clients. Initiate presentation preparation and critique public speaking skills.
Maintain Edgemoor's corporate brand standards across all marketing deliverables, including effectively implementing the company's proposal and presentation templates in InDesign and PowerPoint.
Develop marketing collateral for print and digital use (posters, brochures, invites, etc.).
Create and maintain content for website and social media.
Maintain company information, materials, and associated Marketing databases as required.
Assist with ad hoc marketing requests (event planning, photo shoots, designing swag, etc.)
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of relevant and successful proposal management experience, preferably in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
Bachelor's degree with a major in Communications, English, Business, Political Science, or other relevant focus of study in writing, communication, and critical analysis.
Writing background and/or experience in marketing for professional services.
Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign and Illustrator) for professional document design, layout, and production.
Proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint for slideshow presentations.

Confident personality with the ability to think strategically, help teams develop sound pursuit and proposal strategies, and communicate with senior leadership, supervisors, peers, and clients.
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills and the ability to coordinate the activities of various team members when faced with multiple deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to write and communicate clearly and compellingly, with a strong command of English grammar and attention to detail.
A good eye for visualization, layout, and graphic design to facilitate appealing and effective communication using desktop publication software.
Creativity and resourcefulness, with the ability to execute creative ideas effectively.
Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work as part of a team while remaining independently motivated.
The work environment and requirements described below are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
The Physical Side of the Role: Given that a good portion of your day will be spent at a desk, you should be comfortable with prolonged periods of focused work, whether it's collaborating with colleagues, analyzing data, or developing strategies. The role demands effective communication and sharp visual acuity for reviewing complex documents and performing detailed computer work. While there are times for quiet concentration, you'll also be expected to move actively throughout the office and travel occasionally to various locations, including dynamic construction sites, utilizing different modes of transportation. The ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 25 pounds on occasion (think a box of files or small office equipment), is also required.
Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment.
