MIG Welder - Entry Level

Location: Altamont, IL

Pay: $19-$23/hr

Schedule: Full-Time

Aerotek is hiring entry-level MIG Welders to join a growing manufacturing team in Altamont, IL. If you're looking to build a long-term career in welding and production, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with room for advancement.

Position Overview

As a MIG Welder, you'll support production by performing welds on a variety of steel products. This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform production MIG welding on steel components

Read and interpret blueprints to complete welds accurately

Set up welding jobs using fixtures

Use hand and power tools as needed

Weld in multiple positions, including overhead, flat, and vertical

Visually inspect welds for quality

Grind welds as required

Qualifications

Previous experience using a welder (school, hobby, or work experience accepted)

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

This is a Permanent position based out of Effingham, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
