Job Description
This role operates die cast machinery on 2nd shift to produce high-quality metal components for automotive applications. You load and unload machines, perform routine quality checks, move materials throughout the production area, and support machine setup and basic troubleshooting. You work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential.
Responsibilities
Load and unload die cast machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on metal parts to ensure they meet specifications.
Move metal parts and materials throughout the cell and plant using appropriate tools and equipment.
Assist with machine setup, including preparing materials, tools, and fixtures as directed.
Support basic machine repairs and troubleshooting under the guidance of maintenance or technical staff.
Monitor production machinery during operation and promptly report issues or irregularities.
Follow standard work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and safety practices.
Accurately document production, quality, and inspection information as required.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet or exceed production and quality goals.
Participate in training, including up to four weeks of on-the-job instruction, to learn equipment, processes, and quality requirements.
Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
Essential Skills
At least 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machinery.
Ability to operate industrial systems and production machinery safely and effectively.
Previous manufacturing work history in areas such as assembly, inspection, general labor, quality control, general production, quality inspection, automotive manufacturing, or machine operation.
Strong attention to detail for performing accurate quality checks and inspections.
Ability and willingness to complete up to 4 weeks of training on equipment and processes.
Experience performing quality inspection tasks in a production setting.
Reliable attendance and the ability to work 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience operating die cast machinery.
Experience working with aluminum and/or steel materials in a production setting.
Experience in quality audits or formal quality control processes.
Familiarity with multi-shift manufacturing operations.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.

Work Environment
This is a full-time 2nd shift position operating from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM in a three-shift, high-volume automotive parts manufacturing facility. The site includes departments such as Assembly, Die-Cast, Shipping & Receiving, and Steel, with several hundred employees working across the operation. You work with industrial die cast machinery, production equipment, and metal materials such as aluminum and steel in a clean and eco-friendly plant. The facility provides a state-of-the-art fitness center, on-site convenience store, and ATM for employee use. Uniforms are provided along with a cleaning service at no cost, and there is cash reimbursement available for safety boots and prescription safety glasses. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.95 - $19.95/hr.
