Position Purpose:
The Customer Service Representative ensures customer satisfaction through effective service, strong relationship-building, and sales support. This role engages directly with walk-in customers, coordinates with sales, drivers, and warehouse teams, and delivers exceptional counter and phone service. Key Responsibilities:

Direct Manager Direct Reports:
The Customer Service Representative reports to the Branch Manager and has no direct reports. This role coordinates with internal teams-sales, drivers, and warehouse-to deliver excellent customer service, supporting business growth and operational efficiency.

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary role involving extended periods of sitting or standing, with routine computer and phone use. Occasional movement around the office is required to assist walk-in customers or access equipment. Clear verbal and written communication is essential. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Inside Sales & Project Coordinator to join our team. You won't just be "taking orders"-you will be the primary point of contact for our region's most active production home builders and elite custom home builders.
You will bridge the gap between our yard operations, our outside sales team, and the builders on-site to ensure the right materials arrive at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management: Process high-volume lumber packages for production builders and specialized material lists for custom builds.
Builder Liaison: Act as the internal point of contact for Project Managers and Superintendents to handle schedule changes, shortages, or special requests.
Estimating & Quotes: Perform material take-offs and provide accurate pricing for lumber, engineered wood products, and specialty items.
Logistics Coordination: Work closely with the Operations Manager and Dispatch to prioritize deliveries based on job-site readiness.
Problem Solving: Rapidly resolve discrepancies in orders to keep multi-home production schedules on track.
Qualifications
Industry Knowledge: Minimum 2+ years of experience in the lumber or building materials industry (Inside Sales or Counter experience preferred).
The "Double-Threat" Skillset: Ability to handle the speed required for production builders and the precision required for high-end custom homes.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in CRM systems (Agility), Excel, and Outlook software.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; you must be comfortable "talking shop" with Superintendents and Project Managers.
