Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a contract with our client in Ames, IA. This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of the organization and therefore, requires an individual of high caliber with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Detailed review and preparation of revenue, cost of sales, expense, and balance sheet account reconciliations

Development and maintenance of key financial reports

Assisting in budget preparation and management

Management of accounts payable and receivable

Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and corporate policies, procedures, and regulations

Assisting in annual audits

Contribute to special projects to improve reporting, analytical tools, and internal processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum 3+ years accounting experience is required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.

Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

Working knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with accounting software.
