Summary You will serve as a FUNERAL HONORS SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Ceremonial Guard Division of US NAVY CEREMONIAL GUARD. Responsibilities You will coordinate, develop, implement and analyze effectiveness of the program. You will develop instructions, standard operating policies, procedures and guidelines governing the MFH program. You will initiate and monitor the selection process for officers in the grade of 0-6 and above to perform duties as Funeral Escort Commanders for Special Military Funerals. You will provide funeral honors technical assistance as required and take appropriate actions to ensure Navy Military Funeral Honors related responsibilities of the Ceremonial Guard are accomplished. You will coordinate funeral honors with a casualty assistance team, funeral honors program members, funeral or cemetery director, next of kin, and other interested parties to include and update personnel. You will prepare narrative and statistical reports, charts and tables for programs and projects. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing funeral honors technical assistance and appropriate actions to ensure Military Funeral Honors and responsibilities of the Ceremonial Guard are accomplished; 2) Planning and organizing functions in support of Military Funeral Honors and Ceremonial Guard programs; and 3) Overseeing scheduling and support for military funerals with internal and external organizations within area of responsibility.
