RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures smooth and steady kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
Manages tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow.
Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift.
Performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks, as needed.
Clear understanding of dish machine operations, including its chemical components, and follows proper procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed.
Keeps the floors clean and dry.
Ensures plates and smallware's are properly washed, sanitized, and stored.
Maintains and inspects food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
Corrects unsafe practices or conditions and notifies management.
Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.
REQUIREMENTS:
1+year BOH experience in full-service restaurant preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
Able to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).
