Summary This position is part of the Department of War Information Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing policy and procedures for DoW audiovisual and visual information activities and operations such as Combat Camera operation, and for newspapers and like print media throughout DoD such as the European and Pacific Stars and Stripes newspapers.. Responsibilities As a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-12 some of your typical work assignments may include: Manages the DINFOS Risk Management Framework (RMF) by developing and updating risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies. Tracks agency issued Communications Tasking Orders, coordinates messages and Information Assurances (IA) Alerts. Stays abreast of emergent IA threats, as well as industry and agency responses to threats. Recommend IA procedures or technology enhancements to the Branch Chiefs and the Director of Plans & Technology. Ensures software patches and mitigations are applied, and configuration data in an agency continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) database is current. Provides management and oversight of the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) at DINFOS to allow for reporting of vulnerabilities and compliance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Developing, implementing, and managing a computer network defense program, including policies, procedures, and standards per industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Providing technical expertise to implement and maintain required cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Developing and updating risk analyses, vulnerability checks, and mitigations/correction in order to maintain Information Technology team's focus on computer security throughout all IT support functions.
