Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a team in Oshkosh, WI. In this position, you will play a key role managing core accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an opportunity to positively impact the organization's financial integrity and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries for various account @types such as cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and inventory, maintaining timeliness and precision.

Manage daily bank reconciliations and promptly resolve any outstanding transactions to assist with an efficient month-end close process.

Track and record inventory activities, including adjustments for physical counts, price changes, and product updates.

Oversee fixed asset management, including processing additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations across relevant entities.

Coordinate intercompany and intracompany transactions, performing reconciliations and communicating necessary charges.

Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, addressing discrepancies as needed.

Support all general ledger functions and month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with internal policies and external accounting standards.

Recommend improvements to financial reporting practices and accounting processes to drive operational efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

At least two years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and effective time management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment to support decision-making.

Advanced skills in commonly used office software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
